A Regional Response

The EU-IGAD COVID-19 Response programme is mitigating the health and socio-economic impact of COVID-19 in cross-border sites across the IGAD region. The programme is supporting vulnerable populations and frontline workers in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda through the implementation of programme activities in nearly 40 cross-border sites across the region.

Programme Structure

Funded by the European Union, the regional programme is managed by the UNOPS Programme Management Unit based in Djibouti and implemented in partnership with IGAD, IOM, TradeMark East Africa and UNICEF. The digital component is managed and implemented by GIZ.
